We set off from Grand \Falls New Brunswick heading any which way but west or north.
Ma decided to take the smaller highway thinking it would be more scenic -wrong- however, it did take us to New Denmark, which is where Rod, one of Ma's best friends was born.
You and I will meet him once we get to Halifax Nova Scotia, where he lives now.
anyways on with the adventure
one stop shop in New Denmark - filling up with gas, getting some great meat at Hansen's butcher shop, as well as picking up some of the best potatoes ever - grown right down the road
off we go on our journey
after about an hour on the not so scenic 108 Ma spotted a right turn - 40km to Doaktown or Boiestown - hey why not?
no traffic, no cell reception, no wifi and DARN no moose
Ma seemed to like seeing these small little houses
aah! done with hitting the back roads, a view at last
New Denmark was to the pot of gold. Not too mention the adventure And best potatoes. That is the a reason in itself.
